Mt. Fuji Hiding in the Clouds

Mt. Fuji Hiding in the Clouds

I recently shared photo of Mt. Fuji taken at sunrise (you can see it here).

Unfortunately just a few hours after taking that photo, Mt. Fuji disappeared in the clouds for many long hours. I still hoped I would be able to capture it at sunset. But the sunset came and there was still thick layer of clouds surrounding this beautiful mountain. Beautiful warm light came and started to fade… and when I started to lose hope and was preparing to leave, Fuji reappeared. Just for a minute or two and it was gone again (and during my stay I didn’t see it again) but pictures I took during that short period of time were really gorgeous. Clouds beautifully framed the peak, leaving base of the mountain covered, soft light of ending sunset created very nice colors in the clouds and on the mountain peak. Yes, I was lucky to see and photograph it 🙂
