Magical Forest

I already shared image from Shiratani Unsuikyo cedar forest on Yakushima island in Japan before but it was completely different photo. As I mentioned in that other post, weather on Yakushima can change dramatically from sunny conditions to heavy rain in a couple of minutes (or even seconds). In this case I have to deal with slight fog which created some nice mysterious mood. In reality the scene was warmer of course but I decided to use cool white balance to produce blue cast and also make green moss even more vibrant.

So yeah, it looks a bit like a magical forest to me… can you spot the elves in this image? 🙂 tip: they are hiding pretty well.
